Kunshan Sanwang Resin Introduction: What industries are acrylic resin materials generally used in?

Acrylic resin materials have a wide range of applications, the core of which is concentrated in the three major fields of coatings, adhesives and plastics, and also extends to textile, leather, ink and other industries.

1. Coating industry: the most important application field.

Acrylic resin is the core film-forming substance of coatings, which occupies an important position with its weather resistance, corrosion resistance and easy construction.

Architectural coating: used for latex paint and waterproof coating of internal and external walls, which can resist the sun and rain and keep the wall color lasting.

Industrial coatings: covering automobiles (such as body topcoat), household appliances, metal components, etc., providing decorative and protective functions.

Wood coating: varnish or color paint used for furniture and floors to improve the surface texture and prevent wear.

2. Adhesive and sealant industry

Because of its good viscosity, flexibility and aging resistance, it is widely used in bonding scenes.

Packaging adhesive: used for bonding composite films of food and drug packaging, which should meet the requirements of non-toxicity and temperature resistance.

Industrial adhesive: it is used to bond plastics, metals, glass and other materials, such as fixing electronic components and assembling automobile interiors.

Pressure-sensitive adhesive: making adhesive tapes and labels, with the characteristics of easy peeling and repeated pasting.

3. Plastics and modified materials industry

Plastics with different properties are made by polymerization process, or used as modifiers to improve the properties of other materials.

Acrylic plastic (PMMA): plexiglass, which is used in lampshades, display screens and advertising light boxes, is close to glass in transparency and more impact-resistant.

Plastic modification: used as toughening agent and compatilizer to improve the toughness and processability of PVC, PP and other plastics.

4. Other extension areas

Textile and leather: as a finishing agent, it can improve the wrinkle resistance and water resistance of fabrics, or provide a finishing layer for leather to enhance wear resistance.

Ink industry: used for printing ink, especially for printing plastic film and metal foil, to ensure bright colors and strong adhesion.

Medical field: some medical-grade acrylic resins can be used in dental materials (such as denture base) and medical adhesives, which must meet the biocompatibility standards.
